Epoxy Flooring in Perth That Won’t Peel, Crack or Fail.

Most epoxy floors fail because the concrete isn't prepared properly. We diamond-grind every slab, use industrial-grade coatings, and back it with a written 7 year warranty.

Why Most Perth Garage Epoxy Floors Fail Within 2 Years

If you've seen a garage floor peel, bubble, or pull up under a hot tyre — you've seen the result of skipped preparation. It's the single biggest reason epoxy floors fail in Perth, and it's also the easiest thing to avoid.

Here's what goes wrong on most jobs:

01

The concrete isn't ground — it's etched or "scuffed."

Acid etching and light sanding don't open the concrete enough for industrial epoxy to bond mechanically. We diamond-grind every slab with HEPA-extracted equipment so the coating bonds into the concrete, not  just onto it.

02

Moisture isn't tested.

Perth's mix of older slabs, brick-veneer construction, and reactive clay soils means hidden moisture is common — even in garages that look dry. We use a calibrated moisture meter on every quote and treat any reading above 4% before coating.

03

DIY-grade epoxy gets used on residential jobs.

Bunnings-grade epoxy kits are designed for short-term coverage, not for hot-tyre pickup, oil resistance, or 35°C+ Perth summers. We only install commercial polyaspartic and high-solids epoxy systems engineered for Australian conditions.

04

Cracks are painted over, not repaired.

Hairline cracks in your slab will reflect through any coating within 12 months. We rout, fill, and cure every visible crack with structural repair compound before basecoat goes down.

Why Perth Conditions Demand Better Epoxy Than Most Installers Use

WA isn't Melbourne or Sydney. Garage coatings here face conditions that destroy weaker systems within 12–24 months:

sun.png

Heat & UV

Perth garage slabs regularly hit 40°C+ in summer. Standard epoxy softens above 60°C surface temp — which a black car parked on a westerly-facing driveway can reach in February. Polyaspartic topcoats hold their hardness up to 80°C, which is why we use them as the wear layer on every system.

Older Perth Slabs

Homes in Mount Lawley, Subiaco, Maylands, Bayswater, and similar pre-1990 suburbs often have slabs with hidden moisture, hairline cracks, and concrete that's been sealed multiple times. Our prep stage is built for exactly these conditions.

pickup.png

Hot Tyre Pickup

This is the #1 epoxy failure mode in Perth. A hot tyre sits on a soft coating, the coating bonds to the rubber instead of the concrete, and pulls up when the car moves. We test every system for hot tyre resistance before specifying it.

air.png

Coastal Salt Exposure

Garages within 5km of the coast (Cottesloe to Hillarys, Fremantle to Coogee) get salt-laden air that attacks weak coatings. Our polyaspartic topcoat is rated for marine-grade chemical resistance.
